Hi, I'm Kara!

I am a wife, a mother of two (Ellie and Milo) and a wedding and family photographer based in Oklahoma City.

Even though I call Oklahoma my home I like to spend my life experiencing other places, cultures, and breathtaking scenery. My family travels to Costa Rica every year. We love the wildlife and nature we get to experience together and my husband and kids love to surf! When we are home, they’re all skateboarding – while I watch!

My own fun addictions are Audible books – currently into personal finance and history! – and Travel Hacking so we can dream up our next trip. We are planning for Hawaii in 2021! I’m always listening to a little reggae music because it reminds me of the beach.

I love being outside, grilling, watching chickens (they’re very entertaining), and traveling of course. But mostly I love spending time with these fabulous people below, my family! I try my best to live life to its fullest and take nothing for granted.

I’ve been a photographer all my life. Before I even graduated high school, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. It all started when I was in 3rd grade, my teacher held a photography contest. I took my dad’s fully manual Canon A1 camera, entered, and won 1st place! From there I never put the camera down, and my attic is full of old photos from my childhood.

Photography has always been a way for this quiet girl to talk to the world and show people what I saw. I put everything in my photos – all of me, my heart and soul, and all the moments I see. I am passionate about telling people's stories.
